How To Find the Perfect Bra

If you wear a bra, you know that finding one that fits you well can sometimes be a chore. A poorly fitted bra can not only ruin a great outfit, but it can also ruin your whole day. You’re either stuck with the bulge that comes from cups that don’t fit correctly, or you’re stuck with a band that you are constantly digging out of your skin. Whatever your issue with bras might be, follow these tips that will banish your bra issues for good.

Go To the Right Store

While shopping for clothes and bras at the same place is a great way to save time, it isn’t always the best idea. Stores that sell only bras and lingerie will carry a wider variety of sizes and will have knowledgeable staff that understands how a bra is actually supposed to fit. They are trained specifically in the art of selling bras, so they have a firm understanding of what they’re doing and aren’t more worried about selling perfume than bras.

Get Measured

The first thing that you should do when shopping for a bra is to get measured. Anyone can tell you that when a bra fits correctly, everything just seems right in the world. You can rely on the store staff you measure you, or you can measure yourself. Bodies are constantly changing, so if you’ve gained or lost weight, or it’s been longer than a year since you were last measured, it’s in your best interest to get measured again.

Buy More Than One

When you only buy one or two bras and repeatedly wear them, they wear about quickly. Overwear causes them to stretch out, which negatively affects the fit. Experts say that even wearing the same bra for two days in a row can cause it to stretch out. If you find the perfect bra, the last thing you want to do is wear it out in a few months and be stuck with an uncomfortable one that you hate wearing. To ensure your bras don’t wear out too quickly, it’s recommended that you have at least 5 in constant rotation.

Choose Quality

While there might be a time and a place for a cute bra that serves little to no function, you’re going to regret wearing one like that all the time. Choosing stronger, better-quality bras will almost always be a better investment in the long run. Furthermore, cheap, flimsy bras wear out quickly, and the fabric can be irritating to your skin. While higher quality bras often come with a higher price tag, the potential long-term savings make it worth it.
